## Every bank in one file

- [decisions.csv](https://interestratedecision.com/data/decisions.csv): every decision of every bank: the bank, the time in UTC, the rate and the change in basis points. Also on GitHub, with its history: [central-bank-interest-rates](https://github.com/Interest-Rate-Decision/central-bank-interest-rates), and as clients for JavaScript and Python: [interest-rate-decisions](https://github.com/Interest-Rate-Decision/interest-rate-decisions).
- [rates.json](https://interestratedecision.com/data/rates.json): each bank's rate today, its last change and its next decision.
- [next.json](https://interestratedecision.com/data/next.json): the decisions of the next 90 days, with their times and press conferences.
- [odds.json](https://interestratedecision.com/data/odds.json): [our own odds](https://interestratedecision.com/rate-odds/) for each bank's meetings of the next year, counted from the record of past decisions, never from markets. For each bank: `bank`, `name`, `short`, `rate` (today's, per cent; for the Fed the top of its range, with `range: true`), `page` and `meetings`. For each meeting: `t` (the announcement, UTC), `path` and `page` (its page), `rule` (`consensus` or `run`: which rule set the odds), `odds` (`hike`, `hold`, `cut`, from 0 to 1), `lower` and `higher` (the chance the rate ends below or above today's) and `rateBefore` (today's rate for the next meeting, empty after). The consensus itself is not in it.
- [Badges](https://interestratedecision.com/widget/#badges): each bank's rate and the next decision as an image for a README, at `/badge/fed.svg`, `/badge/next.svg` and so on, or as shields.io's JSON at `/badge/fed.json`.
- [calendar.ics](https://interestratedecision.com/calendar.ics): the calendar, to subscribe to in Google, Apple or Outlook.

## One file a bank

Each file holds the bank's rows with more detail: the economists' consensus, the Fed's range, the ECB's two rates and the Bank of England's votes.

## What you may do with it

Use it in anything, including commercial work, with a visible link to [InterestRateDecision.com](https://interestratedecision.com/). Rates and dates are public facts. The consensus column in the bank files comes from FXStreet's calendar, which owns it, so quote it with that credit and ask FXStreet before republishing it in bulk. That is why it is left out of decisions.csv.

## Where it comes from and how good it is

The rows come from FXStreet's economic calendar, refreshed every two hours and within minutes of a result on decision days. The calendar has one known gap, shown on the page it affects, and we correct rows that are plainly wrong and list what readers report in the [corrections log](https://interestratedecision.com/corrections/). The central bank's own site is the authority: check a row there before relying on it. Problems or questions: dylan@forexiapro.com.

## What it has been used for

[How often do central banks surprise?](https://interestratedecision.com/blog/how-often-do-central-banks-surprise/) counts every decision against its consensus. The [free widget](https://interestratedecision.com/widget/) shows the next decisions on your own site.
